We hope many of our members will be able to participate in a Morning of Reflection on Life in the Spirit presented by Father Christopher Kubat, M.D. This will be a live webinar on Saturday morning May 30, the eve of Pentecost, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.“Thus, says the Lord, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh… And I will work wonders in the heavens and on earth.” Joel 3:1-5As we prepare once again to celebrate the profound gift of the Holy Spirit at the culmination of the Easter Season, we recall these words of the prophet Joel (900BC), which were fulfilled on the first Pentecost.

But what meaning does this have for us today as we prepare for this great feast? As we read in the Acts of the Apostles, it means that we too may receive this same Spirit and be empowered to carry on the healing ministry of Christ,“Lord…enable your servants to speak your word with all boldness…as you stretch forth your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” Acts 4:29-30Particularly at times like these, in the midst of terrible suffering and confusion, we medical professionals are called as His servants to work wonders in Christ through Life in the Spirit.

Therefore we invite our members to pray a Pentecost Novena together beginning Friday May 22, for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, so that we receive the light of Truth and the fire of Love necessary for each of us to respond to the prompting of the Spirit in our personal and professional lives and to carry on the mission of the CMA.You may register in advance for this webinar here:https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_7Ud185X7Re6JOk4lFzv7nA

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar, which will contain a unique link and password for entrance. Each one of us has a unique role to play in God’s plan for the restoration of a culture of life in our profession. United in Christ through Life in the Spirit, together – we can promote the requisite spiritual renewal of healthcare in America.

God Bless!
