From : Présidence de la Conférence des OIC, 15 rue Jaumain, 5330 Assesse, BELGIQUE
(Tel: 32-83-65 62 36; Fax: 32-83-65 61 41;

To :
• the International Catholic Organizations Information Center of New York (Sister Dorothy Farley);
• the Permanent Observer of the Holy See in New York (Mgr Renato Raffaele Martino);
• the National Conference of Catholic Bishops of USA
• the United States Catholic Conference USCC (Mr John Carr)

On behalf of the Conference of the International Catholic Organizations, we wish to express our horror and shock over the criminal attacks against innocent people in the USA and we express our most sincere sympathy to the victims and families and people of the United States of America.
The murder of thousands of innocent civilians represents a new kind of acts of terrorism wich could be consider as crimes against humanity and reinforces the need for more cooperation throughout the international community for using national and international laws in bringing those responsible to justice.
With all the "people of good will" who are promoting justice and peace, we appel the Government of USA to use the law to bring the perpetrators to justice and to avoid a cycle of revenge witch could result in more innocent deaths.

Joseph Pirson, Président de la Conférence des OIC
