It is my pleasure to give you an update from our FIAMC Membership Committee.Presently I have two important announcements to give to you viz. (1) I am glad to inform you that after a few months of correspondence with our Sri Lanka Brothers and Sisters we have helped them to rejoin FIAMC/AFCMA. Apparently they had lost contact with us for many years and had lost all previous records that they had with FIAMC.

The Guild of St. Luke Ss Cosmas & Damian of Sri Lanka was inaugurated in 1944. It has 125 members but as usual only a handful are actively involved in the activities of the Guild.Some of their activities with the Church of Sri Lanka included the assistance given for the recent visit to Sri Lanka by his Holiness Pope Francis, involvement in Family Apostolate, Education in Natural Family Planning Methods,etc..

The Application by the Guild of St. Luke Ss Cosmas & Damian of Sri Lanka to rejoin FIAMC/AFCMA has been approved by our FIAMC President Dr. John Lee.I am sure that the St. Luke’s Guild of Sri Lanka will be an asset to us and we hope to see them participating in our Congresses and other activities like Outreach programmes.

B. I am also pleased to inform you that the Korean Federation of Catholic Medical Associations (KFCMA)had a change in the Presidency recently.Prof. Young Seon Hong <y331@catholic.ac.kr>has stepped down as its President on 22 March 2015 but will still be an active member of KFCMA The New President of KFCMA is Prof. Young Jin Ko < yjko@catholic.ac.kr>.Needless to say The KFCMA has been one of the most active Associations in FIAMC/AFCMA having organised FIAMC as well as AFCMA Congresses previously and we can look foward to its active participation in our activities under the guidance of Prof. Young Jin Ko.Therefor let us also congratulate Prof. Ko and thank Prof. Hong at the same time for his work for KFCMA./FIAMC/AFCMA.
