Apprehensive about the health condition of H. E. Msgr. Zygmunt Zimowski, we are all gathered in prayer to the Holy Family for the protection and prompt recovery of his health.

Dear Your Excellency Msgr Zimowski,
It was with great sadness that I learnt of your illness and hospitalisation for surgery. At the same time I felt a profound sense of gratitude to God for having given a priest of your calibre to serve His church. Now more than ever the Church and in particular the fraternity of healthcare workers need your guidance and support to counter the pervasive anti-life mentality which the late St Pope John Paul II prophesied will afflict modern day society. We will ask our members to pray and perform sacrifices for your recovery and that you may resume the wonderful work you are doing especially as President of the Pontifical Council for Pastoral Assistance to Health Care Workers. In the mean time please rest well and concentrate on recovering from the illness and the surgeries. We remain united with you in prayer in your illness and suffering.

Le parole del Papa alla recita dell’Angelus, 08.02.2015
Tale realtà della guarigione dei malati da parte di Cristo, ci invita a riflettere sul senso e il valore della malattia. A questo ci richiama anche la Giornata Mondiale del Malato, che celebreremo mercoledì prossimo 11 febbraio, memoria liturgica della Beata Vergine Maria di Lourdes. Benedico le iniziative preparate per questa Giornata, in particolare la Veglia che avrà luogo a Roma la sera del 10 febbraio. Ricordiamo anche il presidente del Pontificio Consiglio per la pastorale della Salute, Mons. Zygmunt Zimowski, che è molto ammalato in Polonia. Una preghiera per lui, per la sua salute, perché è stato lui a preparare questa giornata e lui ci accompagna con la sua sofferenza in questa giornata. Una preghiera per Mons. Zimowski.
