Dear colleagues
I am happy to tell you that the next meeting of the FEAMC-board will be held in Switzerland in the monastery Magdenau near Flawil between Zurich and St. Gallen.
– Friday 2nd October: meeting of the organizing committee for the 2016 FEAMC congress in Porto;
– Saturday 3rd October: meeting of the Board and dinner:
– Sunday 4th October: trip to St. Gallen, lunch in the Monastery and closure of the meeting.
Arrival of the organizing committee members on thursday 1st October.
How to arrive in Magdenau
From Zurich airport railway station, take the train from platform 2 direction St. Gallen. Get off at Flawil. The train runs every 30 mns. On the square outside Flawil station, there is a bus stop direction Degersheim. The bus stops right outside the monastery.
You can buy your train ticket from the ticket office in the airport. On way ticket 2nd class Zurich-Flawil costs 23.40 CHF.
You can also call me and I’ll come and pick you up at Flawil station.
You can rent a car at the airport. From the airport follow the direction St. Gallen on the highway until the exit Oberuzwil and then direction Flawil. Go through Flawil centre. After about 2 km follow the road sign indicating Magdenau.
If you want to remain any longer in Switzerland we can recommend sightseeings:
– The Lake of Constance
– The Rhine Falls, the town Schaffhausen with the circular castle and the small picturesque village Stein am Rhein.
– The shrine Einsiedeln with the image of the Black Madonna.
– The Königsfelden Monastery church in Windisch 10 km from Baden (Canton Aargau) with beautiful 14th-century stained glass windows.
– Near Windisch there is also the Habsburg, the first castle of the Habsburg family. The roots of this dynasty are swiss.
– The town Chur with the Cathedral.
– The town Constance in Germany, with the cathedral where from 1414 to 1418 the Council of Constance was held.

Je suis heureux de vous communiquer que la prochaine réunion du bureau de l’FEAMC aura lieu en Suisse dans le monastère Magdenau près de Flawil, entre Zurich et Saint-Gall.
– Vendredi 2 octobre: ​​réunion du comité organisateur du congrès  FEAMC 2016 à Porto;

Comme arriver à Magdenau
De la gare de l’aéroport de Zurich, prendre le train du quai 2 en direction de Saint-Gall. Le train circule toutes les 30 minutes. Descendre à Flawil. Sur la place devant la gare de Flawil, il y a en bus (Postauto) en direction de Degersheim. Le bus arrêt juste devant le monastère. Vous pouvez acheter votre billet de train à partir de la billetterie à l’aéroport. Un billet de 2e classe Zurich-Flawil coûte environ 23 CHF. Vous Vous pouvez également appeler-moi et je peux venir vous chercher àla gare de Flawil. Vous pouvez aussi louer une voiture àl’aéroport. De l’aéroport, suivre la direction de Saint-Gall sur l’autoroute jusqu’à la sortie Oberuzwil, puis prendre la direction Flawil. Traverser le centre de Flawil. Après environ 2 km suivez à droite le panneau indiquant Magdenau.
Si vous voulez rester plus longtemps en Suisse, nous pouvons vous recommander:
– Le lac de Constance
– Les Chutes du Rhin, la ville de Schaffhouse avec la forteresse circulaire et le petit village pittoresque de Stein am Rhein.
– Le sanctuaire d’Einsiedeln avec l’image de la Vierge noire.
– L’église du couvent de Königsfelden à Windisch 10 km de Baden (canton d’Argovie) avec de beaux vitraux du 14ème siècle.- Près Windisch il y a aussi le château de Habsbourg, le premier château de la famille des Habsbourg. Les racines de cette dynastie sont suisses.
– La ville de Coire avec la Cathédrale.
– La ville de Constance en Allemagne, avec la cathédrale où de 1414 à 1418 a eu lieu le concile de Constance.
