Analise D Mello MBBS, MS obgyn, DNB
I would like to begin with the wonderful news that I passed my final exams, and I am officially a gynecological oncosurgeon!!!!!
Thank you for everyone who prayed for me and for all you faith-filled humans!!! We need to pray harder after what’s happening in the world.
The Kingdom of God is at hand;
Repent and believe in the Gospel.
Often in our daily worries, we tend to forget we live just once and should appreciate and love everything! I sometimes wonder, when I watch my patients gasp for air when their final moments come, what would they be thinking?
I should have earned more money?
I should have spent more time working?
Maybe I can spend some of my money and buy my health back?
Or they would be saying the name of the Lord and wondering what next? (That would be me.)
They look for familiar faces, try to hold onto hands, and the worst is when I see the look of utter sadness in the eyes of the loved ones!!!
Sons and daughters regretting not spending enough time with their parents or parents trying to soothe their child when she or he is wondering what is happening to them!
For every time I watch a patient on their deathbed, I always think, “We have such limited time on the globe!” Why can’t we just be happy?!
In October 2021, when my Papa was in intestinal obstruction due to the cancer and pain and needed emergency surgery, I remember frantically calling my priest uncle and asking him to send for the anointing of the sick! A priest walked in, and I left as I watched my Papa close his eyes in deep pain and faith, listening to the priest as he laid his hands on his forehead—I could see Papa feel the presence of the Lord, although 5 years later Papa has no memory of this—I saw the repentance and blessing come alive!
It made me get courage, and made me belive
The Kingdom of God is at hand;
Repent and believe in the Gospel.
stay faithful this year..
AMEN
