Just a week after the conference on “Understanding Islam”, another conference will be held on July 25, 2026. The conference entitled, “Protestants: Who They Are?” aims to provide lay Catholics with a clear, accurate, and charitable understanding of Protestantism—its origins, major beliefs, history, and the various denominations that exist today. By examining the events of the Protestant Reformation and comparing key Protestant teachings with Catholic doctrine, participants will gain a deeper appreciation of the Catholic faith, strengthen their ability to explain and defend it with confidence, and foster respectful dialogue with Protestant Christians in a spirit of truth, charity, and Christian unity.

There will be two speakers of the event, one a diocesan priest who will explain the history of the Catholic Church including the timeline of Protestantism.The second speaker, a former pastor of an evangelical church will discuss his entry to the Catholic faith.The venue of the one-day event will be at Golden Peak Hotel, Cebu, Philippines.This conference is mainly organized by HLI Pilipinas side-by-side with the FIAMC, the Catholic Physicians Guild of the Philippines and the National of the Laity of the Philippines.
