In celebration of the World Heart Disease Awareness Month, HLI Pilipinas, the FIAMC and the Catholic Physicians Guild of the Philippines will hold a one-day conference carrying the theme, “Understanding the Worldwide Impact of AI and the Global Risks of Heart Diseases”. This will be on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the Grand Ballroom of Holiday Plaza Hotel, Cebu City, Philippines.


There will be two main speakers of the event. One, an IT expert from the University of San Carlos, the oldest educational institution in the country and based in Cebu. The other speaker is a known cardiologist in Cebu who will discuss to the audience the importance of a healthy heart.


The two main objectives of the conference is for the delegates to know more and be acquainted with the latest on the use of artificial intelligence, particularly the pros and cons in relation to our daily lives and the possible threats to humanity. Also for the audience to be more receptive on the ways to keep the heart health and strong knowing the fact that heart disease remains the number killer in the practically all parts of the world and as the world’s heart experts predict, that more and more cases of heart diseases will be reported including among the younger generation due to the prevailing lifestyles of the current generations. 


Considering the one-day event is open to all, the organizers expect most of the audience who will participate will be the lay leaders from the different organizations including the paramedical professionals  and the students from the many universities and colleges.
