Born at just 2.9lbs, baby boy finally goes home with parents
January, 2018

From MaterCare’s St. John Paul II Maternity Hospital in rural Isiolo, Kenya:

“We are all fine and working hard. We are happy to serve our mothers here. Over December we had a baby boy born at 28wks gestation weighing 1.3kgs (2.9lbs). The mother came in 2nd stage of labour and delivered. The baby developed distress and oxygen was administered, he was then admitted into the newborn unit. He has been with us and progressed well, and we discharged him on January 14th when he was weighing 1.95kgs (4.3lbs). The family was so happy, thanks be to God.

We appreciate your efforts for this project. Each time we have successful stories we always thank God for you. God bless you.

Greetings and well wishes from everyone.
With Regards,
Sr Jacinta.”
