The number of deliveries continues to grow

August 30, 2017

Since its opening in 2013, the number of women admitted to MaterCare’s St. John Paul II Maternity Hospital has continued to steadily increase. The beds of the 30 bed hospital have been very full in the recent months, meaning more supplies and staff are necessary to meet the growing demand.

“The number of mothers delivering in the facility at the moment is still high. In the month of June we had 159 normal deliveries and 37 cesarean sections, totalling to 196 deliveries. In July we had 229 normal deliveries and 31 cesarean sections, totalling to 260,” said our head hospital team member Sister Jacinta in a recent report.

We continued to need financial support in order to continue to deliver care to women, children and their families.
