These words were spoken by Pope Leo XIV during a meeting with sick children and their families at the National Center for Oncological Hadron Therapy (CNAO) in Pavia. This is one of the most renowned cancer treatment centers in Italy and Europe.

During his visit to the CNAO, after greeting each of the children and their families, Leo XIV emphasized the importance of family. “Show the whole world,” the Pope said, “how in difficult times everything becomes even more difficult if the presence and love of family are lacking.”
