This year, the celebration is in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Palmotićeva Street, on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 7 p.m. (entrance from Draškovićeva 54, due to works on the renovation of the basilica)

PRAYER OF CONSECRATION OF CATHOLIC DOCTORS TO THE HEART OF JESUS

We physicians of the whole world consecrate ourselves to you, Sacred Heart of Jesus, and we commit ourselves to take you as our model, to learn from you, our Lord and friend, Lord and God. We humbly ask for the grace to love as you have loved and to serve as you have served.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, the same heart that beats in our breasts and in every human being, grant us to preserve the dignity of human life from conception to death, to defend and heal it. By our words and actions, let us be worthy of the call to serve and help the sick.

Divine Heart of Jesus, whom you loved with a human heart, grant that we may recognize you in those who suffer, so that we may not turn away from their afflictions, but serve them in joy as we would like to be served. Give us a heart full of wisdom and strength so that we can put all our skills at the service of the common good and eternal life and spreading the good news of salvation for all people.

Meek Heart of Jesus, pierced on the cross, grant us to accept our human limitations in our mission, so that from our own weaknesses we can understand the fragility of the people to whom we are sent and whose pains we need to heal and alleviate.

We need the help of family and spouses, children and friends, work colleagues, so we offer you and all of them, and pray for them.

Jesus, gentle and humble of heart… Make our hearts after thine Heart!
