Dr. Diakunchak Yaroslav sends us a video and photo from the meeting of the Ukrainian Catholic Medical Association (Kyiv department) with the Major Archbishop of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) Sviatoslav Shevchuk.

We discussed different issues such as physical and spiritual rehabilitation of Ukrainian people (both military and civilian), about our Catholic Medical Association, and also about mental health of our people.

The medical community wants to work together with the Church to heal the wounds of Ukrainian society. Today, the Kyiv branch of the Ukrainian Association of Catholic Physicians has a center in Brovary at the parish of the Three Saints of the UGCC. The plan is to create similar communities in different regions of the country. We are convinced that the presence of a priest in a medical facility is important not only for patients. Today, the UGCC is actively developing the service of medical chaplains.
