Slightly over a hundred participants are expected to converge at the Saint Roch Church located in Macrohon, Southern Leyte, Philippines for a one-day event entitled, “The Fourfold Division of Law”. Most of the attendees are the key leaders involved in the different church ministries and in the service ministry, including the family and life, bible apostolate, prison ministry and representatives from the different lay organizations in the entire Diocese of Maasin.

There are two main speakers who will discuss the assigned topics to the audience. The first speaker, a canon lawyer, will discuss Eternal Law and the Divine Law while the other speaker, a priest and an apologist who is assigned in the Bible Apostolate will talk about the topic of Natural law and Human law. After the talks, this will be followed by an hour group discussion on its relevance to the current church and the global situation.
It is with the hope that each participant will be able to grasp the categorized order of laws which are interconnected so designed to guide humanity in their quest for goodness, truth and eternal happiness.To quote the great St. Tomas Aquinas’ famous argument that it is the moral obligation of every human being to,”obey God rather than man”.The organizers of this event are the Catholic Physicians Guild of the Philippines, the HLI Pilipinas and the Diocese of Maasin with inspirations from the FIAMC. .
