The Philippines, which is considered as the most Catholic country left in the world today is a certified Marian country. It is in this country where one finds the most vibrant celebration of the “Flores de Mayo y Flores de Maria”.

It is also in this country where thousands of children gather around the chapels and churches in all of the 86 dioceses and archdioceses praying the Holy Rosary, listening to daily catechesis and offering fresh flowers to the image of Our Lady.

This month-long religious event ends with the traditional “Santa Cruzan”.To ignite more interests on the role of the Blessed Mother in our Christian lives, the HLI Pilipinas, the Catholic Physicians Guild of the Philippines and the National Council of the Laity with inspirations from the FIAMC organized a one-day event carrying the theme,

“Mary, Mother of Life”. Two selected speakers, a Mariologist and a bishop will handle topics which will center on the role of the Mother of God in the salvation of mankind and on the role of Mary, the Mother of Christ amidst the ravaging culture of death in the world today.Although the event is open to all, but most of the registered participants are from the different existing Marian organizations.

The Marian convention will be held at the Parklane International Hotel in Cebu, Philippines on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
