A voice was heard in Ramah sobbing and loud lamentation ;Rachel weeping for her children , and she would not be consoled , since they were no more.

The city of Bethlehem, this year has had toned down their Christmas celebrations in solidarity with the war!! It saddens me that history is repeating itself for not the Lord but we are birthing hate and distrust among our brethren.

As I sat in my home with my family and attended the Christmas service under the skies with the most melodious voices of the choir… I did think of all those women who lost their families, the Healthcare workers who died while taking care of the sick or who are still struggling to make ends meet….

It made me realise how grateful I need to be on a daily basis for everything I have and the peace and freedom I enjoy!!!! You enjoy!

As we usher into a new year, and I enlist my usual list of resolutions – being a better doctor and human has been bumped higher in the list and rebuilding my relationship with God is important everyday so I may not stray away into the world of sin any deeper.

Lets say a short thank you for everything and everyone around us and pray we can bring a change with our faith in this world.

Amen.
