At least 2,500 participants have registered to attend the coming Divine Mercy Convention – Philippines which will take place on May 16 to 17, 2026 at the UC Gym in Cebu City, Philippines. The expected delegates will come from thirty (30) different dioceses and archdioceses from the different parts of the archipelago.

This year’s convention carries the theme, “Understanding Modernism & Its Impact to the World and to the Church“. Various topics are in-lined for this big event which includes, “Every Catholic, A Divine Mercy Missionary”, “Divine Mercy as the Answer to Modernism Affecting the Church Today”, “Mother of Mercy, Destroyer of All Heresies”, “Finding & Living the True Church Thru the Sacraments”, “Divine Mercy: The Last Call to Holiness” and “Defending the Family, the Last Hope of Humanity“.

As you may know, the Philippines embraced Christianity through the Spanish missionaries in Cebu in the year 1521 or 505 years ago. Currently, the Philippines has a population of 114 million and 75% are adherents to the Catholic faith. The organizers of the event hoped that each delegate will come to understand the evils of modernism which was condemned by Pope Pius X in the year 1907 describing it as, “the synthesis of all heresies”.

The two-day convention will culminate with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass to be officiated by Archbishop of Cebu, H.E. Alberto Sy Uy, DD.
