June 6, 2026

The month of June is dedicated to The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (6/12) and in honor of the 250th anniversary of the founding of this country, our bishops are consecrating the U.S. to the Sacred Heart on June 11, to commemorate the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The World Day of Prayer for Priests is June 12.

Our theme this month is The Eucharist at the Heart of Faith and this is an image of the 760-year-old Eucharistic miracle in Santarem, Portugal. We suggest the books The Eucharistic Miracles of the World (Catalogue of the Vatican International Exhibition), Eucharistic Miracles by Joan Carroll Cruz and A Cardiologist Examines Jesus by Dr. Franco Serafini.

The monthly CMA ZOOM Prayer Group will meet Sat. June 13 at 2:00 PM. Come bring your intentions! Bishop James Conley has offered to say Masses for members’ intentions. To receive Mass cards, email info@cathmed.org.

Registration is now open for our 95th Annual Educational Conference. The theme is Mysteries and Miracles: Restoring the Practice of Medicine to Heal the Whole Person and it will be held September 10-12, 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona. See you there!

The Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus (6/7) reminds us of the reverence we should show in the presence of the Eucharist in our dress and our silence. We encourage you to consider making a weekly Holy Hour. Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen recommended a daily Holy Hour for priests and religious.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary (6/13) recalls that Our Lady’s heart, which treasured so many events in Her life, was pierced mystically when the lance was driven into Jesus’ heart as He hung on the cross. She promised the children at Fatima “in the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph”.

Father’s Day is June 21, as we honor our fathers, living and deceased.
